A movie set is the area where a motion picture is filmed.
Most sets are built inside movie studios.
These sets are built in large, windowless buildings, called “sound stages.”
Here, both the picture and the dialogue are recorded.
Indoor sets on sound stages are convenient because all the necessary cameras, sound equipment, and wiring can be permanently installed.
At other times, however, a movie set is built “on location,” which means outside the studio.
This enables the film makers to use actual physical landscape as the scenery.
If the movie calls for rivers, mountains, or jungles,
it may be cheaper to film in real places than to build imitation scenery.
영화 세트는 영화가 촬영되는 곳이다.
대부분의 영화세트들은 영화 스튜디오 안에 설치된다.

Dean Rusk, former secretary of state and now professor of international
law at the University of Georgia in Athens, is constantly called upon to give
interviews, and is accordingly well prepared. One day last spring, arriving
early at the university's studio, where a television show was to be taped, he
took his place on the set and reviewed his notes while the crew completed
preparations. The floor manager announced that they would begin in five minutes.
Rusk produced a compact from his pocket, took out a powder puff and applied it
to his bald head, which would otherwise reflect the TV lights. He then put the
compact away and announced he was ready to begin.

In recognition of the originality of some Korean box-office hits, big-name Hollywood studios were eager to import Korean movie titles to the U.S.
market and bought out remake rights from Korean production companies this year.

on the nose 정확하게, 알맞게
주로 라디오나 텔레비전 프로듀서가 스튜디오 신호로 사용을 합니다.
방송 중에 소리를 내어서 신호를 할수가 없지요. 그 때 손으로 신호하는 것
중의 하나가 코에 손을 대는 것으로 문제없이 시간대로 정확하게 하고 있다는
뜻입니다. 우리나라 방송가에선 쓰이지 않고 서양쪽에서 사용이 되고 있습니다.
on the nose는 분량, 수량, 금액이 딱 알맞다는 뜻으로 기억하십시요.
예를 들어서 문장을 알아 보면요.
Ex) It's six on the nose.
(정확히 6시 입니다.)
Stive hit the ball on the nose.
(스티브는 공을 정확히 맞췄습니다.)

Ｑ： 방송 용어 같은데 teleprompter 라는 말과 two way mirror 라는
말이 정확하게 무엇을 가르치는 말인지 알고 싶습니다.
Ａ： teleprompter 라고 하는 것은 원래 상표명인데 텔레비전 출연자
에게 대본을 확대시켜서 보여 주는 장치를 뜻하지요. 이 장치는 보통
무대의 반대편 카메라 위치에 위치해 있기 때문에 카메라에는 비치지
않지요. 여러분이 저녁에 9시 뉴스를 볼 때 앵커들이 얘기를 할 때 보
면 시청자를 쳐다보면서 이야기를 하는 것 같지요. 그런데 가끔 그것
을 신기하게 생각하지 않으셨습니까? 뉴스 진행을 할 때에는 대체로
teleprompter를 사용합니다. 그래서 teleprompter에는 원고를 카메라
쪽에 설치를 해 놓으니까 읽을수가 있지요. 카메라 바로 옆에 설치를
해 놓으면 시야가 크게 벗어나지 않습니다. 그래서 시청자들이 볼때에
는 카메라를 보는 것처럼 느껴지지 마련이지요. 가끔 대통령이 연설을
한다거나 이럴 때에도 전혀 원고를 안보고 이야기하는 것처럼 보일 때
가 있지요? 이럴 때에는 teleprompter를 쓰는 경우가 있습니다. 그리
고 two way mirror라고 하는 것은 우선 one way mirror를 아시죠? 한
쪽에만 거울을 대고 상대방 쪽에서는 보이지 않는 것이요. 나는 상대
방을 볼 수 있는데 상대방은 나를 볼 수 없는 경우에 one way mirro라
