품귀상태다」라는 의미이다.

A:Do you remember the tickets to the National Athletics were sold out?
B:Yes,I do. The tickets were at a premium,so some people had to pay
an extraordinary amount of money to get the tickets.
A:Right. But Jack was able to enter the stadium without a ticket.
B:How?
A:He brought a long plastic pipe to the guard and told him that he
was a pole vaulter.

A:맞아,그렇지만 잭은 표 없이 입장했어.
B:어떻게?
A:긴 프라스틱 장대를 가지고 경기장 경비한테 가서 자기가 장대높이뛰기
선수라고 했대.
