가을이면 나는 전시중인 그림을 보러 종종 화랑에 간다.

ANS) Historically it has its origin in the Sinla era more than two thousand years ago, when Sinla organized the Hwarang(Flowery Youth Corps) to train young people in the arts of war, literature and service to the country. These young people developed a means of self-defense, which has been passed on and developed generation after generation.
There are many interesting sculptures in the gallery.

Paintings found on the walls of ancient Korean tombs indicate that Taekwondo has been practiced in Korea since about 50 B.C.
Also, records of a specially trained group of youths called Hwarang explain
how these young men were taught Taekkyon (an early form of Taekwondo) along with history, ethics, riding and sword fighting.
Members of Hwarang were also encouraged to travel throughout Korea in order to learn about the people who lived in all regions of the country.
한국 고분 벽화에서 발견되는 그림들은 태권도가 기원전 50년 이후 한국에서 행해져 왔음을 보여준다.
또한 화랑이라 불리는 특별히 훈련된 청년 단체의 기록은 이들 젊은이들에게
역사, 윤리, 말타기와 검술과 더불어 택견(태권도의 옛날 형태)이 어떻게 가르쳐졌는지를 설명하고 있다.
또한 화랑도들은 나라의 전 지역에 살고 있는 사람들에 대해 배울 수 있도록 한국의 전 지역을 여행하도록 장려하였다.
