All great books contain boring portions, and all great lives have

Application for the post of Personal Secretary I have seen your advertisement for the post of personal secretary (PS68) in today's Daily News.
I am very keen to apply for this position and therefore now have pleasure in enclosing a copy of my curriculum vitae for your consideration.
My main reason for wishing to change my present employment is that I wish to widen my experience and am anxious to work for a firm that is trading with Western Europe.
As you will be able to see from my C.V. , I studied English in London from 1989 to 1992 and so I believe I now have quite a good command of English.
I would also like to add my brother is currently attached to our trade delegation to the European Community in Brussels, and so I feel I am quite familier with the trading situation in Western Europe.
I am able to attend for interview at any time at your convenience, but would be grateful if you would give me two days' notice.
If you decide to appoint me, I must give my present employers one month's notice, but will then be able to take up my duties at once.

용. 이 경우에 Mr. ~는 버릇없으며 실례가 될 수 있다. 수신인명의 Honorable
은 '각하'의 뜻으로 경칭.
DEAR ABBY: Recently, while I was getting a snack at a
fast-food restaurant in Bakersfield, Calif., a young boy
came up to the soft drink area. He was too short to reach
the button to dispense the soft drink, so I asked him which
one he wanted. He told me his preference and, when I handed
it to him, he said, "Thank you, sir," and went back to his
parents' table.
I was so impressed with the young man's manners that I
stopped at his table on my way out and told his parents that
their son was a real gentleman. They told me, in broken
English, that they had always taught their children to say
"please" and "thank you." I told them it was a real
pleasure to see such a well-mannered child and to keep up
the good work.
Abby, one sees so much rudeness these days, it's
gratifying to see children who display good manners.
