(ANS) The dietary pattern in our country has largely changed nowadays with the advent of an era of instant food. Many of traditional dishes have been replaced by instant food items that are readily available in groceries. In industrial societies, such a phenomenon is inevitable, since fast food makes it possible for busy hardworking people to save time and energy.
But in the wake of such a drastic change, some immoral food producers have been producing unwholesome food items potentially harmful to the health of consumers, taking advantage of the mass consumption of instant food. Under these circumstances it is more than appropriate that the public health authorities should have conducted an all-out inspection to root out substandard food.
I have to make do with fast food.

Chaplin prefers to entertain rather than lecture. Scenes of factory
interiors account for only about one-third of the footage of Modern
Times, but they contain some of the most pointed social commentary as

belt, almost losing his mind in the process. Another popular scene
involves an automatic feeding machine brought to the assembly line so
that workers need not inter- rupt their labor to eat. The feeding
machine malfunctions, hurling food at Chaplin, who is strapped into his
position on the assembly line and cannot escape. This serves to
illustrate people's utter helplessness in the face of machines that are
meant to serve their basic needs.
