An old man got on a train with a gorgeous hat his son bought for him.

The young man stealthily slipped his calling card into the hat and yelled,
“A few weeks ago, I bought the same hat at H. S. department store
and stuck my calling card inside the hat, but the hat was stolen the other day.
Now I see the calling card in your hat, so it must be mine.
Now give it back to me.”

젊은이는 모자에 자신의 명함을 몰래 살짝 끼어 넣고 큰 소리로 말했다.
“몇 주 전에 H. S. 백화점에서 똑같은 모자를 사서
그 모자 안쪽에 명함을 넣어두었는데 어느 날 그 모자를 잃어 버렸어요.
이 모자 안에 내 명함이 있는 걸 보니 내 모자임에 틀림없군요.
자, 이제 모자를 제게 돌려주시죠.”
The old man thought for a while what he should do.
At last the old man handed the hat to the young man and said,
“In fact, I’m a farmer and a few days ago, in a moonless night, a thief stole my favorite cow and dropped this hat unconsciously.
You are insisting that this hat is yours.
Thank God, you can take your lost hat and I can take my stolen cow back.”
At this the young man hesitantly said, “May I be excused a moment? Nature calls me.”
The young man stood up and went away in a hurry, leaving the hat behind. He never returned!

“죄송하지만 화장실에 좀 가야겠어요.”
젊은이는 모자를 그냥 둔 채로 일어서서 서둘러 나가 다시는 돌아오지 않았다.
