것은 상식인데, 하나의 개념으로 해서 영어에서는 단수로
취급합니다. ex. R & D is essential to the company's success.
동사인 involve는 한국어로 번역하기 어려운 단어 중 하나인데,
「~에 종사하고 있다, ~에 들어있다, ~에 관계하고 있다」의
의미로 사용합니다. 「강조하다, 힘을 쏟다」는 to place (lay,
put) a big (special, particular) emphasis입니다.

무엇인가, 경쟁회사와의 관계는 어떠한가, 신제품의 개발과
기초연구의 관계, 기술 정보의 관리, 기술 수출의 가능성 등등
화제는 끝이 없습니다. 대략적인 설명이 가능하도록 조사해 둘
필요가 있으며, 연구소의 대표에게 설명을 부탁하는 것도

연구개발비용의 분담에 관한 대화인데 종합비용에 대한
분담보다는 우선 세목을 정하고 그 세목에 대한 비용을
분담하자고 하는 반론이 나온 것입니다. 총론보다는 각론을
중시하는 느낌인데, 서구적인 발상에서는 구체적인 세목이 있고
나서야 비로소 의논이 가능합니다. 한국적인 발상인 총론에 우선
찬성하고 그리고 나서 각론을 의논한다 라는 것은 조금 방식이
다릅니다. 서로간의 의견에 접근하기 위해서는 구체적으로
의논하는 편이 받아드리기도 쉽고 수습도 잘 됩니다.
